8:00 AM departure from Arusha. Drive through the Maasai steppe to Ngorongoro Conservation Area (3 hours). Arrive at your lodge perched on the crater rim (2,300m). Afternoon at leisure taking in the breathtaking views of the world's largest intact caldera. Sunset photography.

5:30 AM early breakfast. Descend 600 meters into the crater floor for a full day game drive (6-7 hours). Search for the Big Five - black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffalo, and leopards. Picnic lunch at the hippo pool near Lake Magadi. Spot flamingos on the soda lake. Ascend the crater by 5:00 PM.

8:00 AM breakfast. Visit a traditional Maasai boma (village) to learn about their semi-nomadic lifestyle, jumping dance, and traditional medicine. Drive back to Arusha (3 hours). Afternoon at leisure. Evening flight to Zanzibar (1.5 hours). Arrive at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ). Transfer to your beach resort.

8:00 AM breakfast. Transfer to Stone Town for a spice tour. Visit a spice plantation to see, smell, and taste exotic spices like cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla. Learn about their medicinal uses. Afternoon Stone Town walking tour - visit the House of Wonders, Arab Fort, Freddie Mercury Museum, and Darajani Market.

9:00 AM boat trip to Prison Island (Changuu Island). See giant Aldabra tortoises, some over 100 years old. Continue to Nakupenda Sandbank - a sandbar that emerges during low tide. Swim in crystal clear turquoise waters. Fresh seafood lunch on the sandbank. Snorkel among colorful tropical fish.

9:00 AM visit Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park - the only national park in Zanzibar. Walk along boardwalks through mangrove forest. Spot the rare Red Colobus monkeys (endemic to Zanzibar). Return to resort. Afternoon free for beach activities - swimming, sunbathing, kayaking, or paddleboarding.

Full day free for relaxation or optional Blue Safari (extra cost). The Blue Safari takes you to Menai Bay Conservation Area for dolphin watching, snorkeling at Kwale Island, and visiting a natural swimming pool. See starfish, sea cucumbers, and coral gardens. Option to relax at the resort pool or spa.

Breakfast at the resort. Last chance to swim in the Indian Ocean or buy souvenirs at the local market. Check-out by 10:00 AM. Transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your departure flight. Optional add-on: extra days in Zanzibar or safari extension.
